Seed of Hyoscyamus niger L., farnily Solanaceae.
Seed reniform or ovate, slightly flat, about 1 mm in diameter. Surface
to grey-yellow, protruding reticular marks and hilum seen under magnifier.
Bitter in taste, warm in nature, strongly toxic, and attributive to heart,
liver and lung channels.
Same as Flos Daturae.
