Characteristics
The pileus spheroidal; the top flat or slightly convex, brownish to purple
brown, broken irregularly with white gill exposed. Sweet in taste, mild
in nature, fragrant, and attributive to spleen and stomach channels.
Indication
Supplement and strengthen the spleen and vital energy: For prevention
of common cold and skin infection and for the treatment of eruptive diseases
in the debilitated. Recently, used for the tumor of digestive tract, lung
cancer and leukemia as.a subsidiary therapy of chemo-therapy.
Pharmacological
Action
1. Its polysaccharide promotes the production of immune globulin and enhances
body immunity.
2 Inhibiting sarcoma180 and cervical cancer14 in mice. But the anticarcinogenic
effect will be significantly decreased when it is given with ALS (Anti-lymphocytic
serum) or when the mice are thymectomized.
Administration Decoction: 10-30g.
