Characteristics
Appearing as irregularly lamellated or needle-shaped, black, lustrous,
original fibrous straie visible. Bitter and astringent in taste, mild
in nature, and attributive to lung, liver and large intestine channels.
Indication
Stop bleeding by astringing: For metrorrhagia and bleeding in hemorrhoids,
also for hematemesis, hemafecia, hemoptysis and epistaxi& Single use is
not applicable for cases with blood stasis.
Administration
Decoction: 6-15g.
