Eriocautaceae.
Characteristics
Inflorescence
semi-globulose, densely surrounded by layers of bracts, light yellow-green,
lustrous, apex grey-white, numerous black anthers and yellow-green young
fruits seen when kneaded to pieces. Acrid and sweet in taste, slightly
warm in nature, and attributive to liver and stomach channels.
Indication
Expel wind and heat, improve visual acuity and remove nebula: For wind-heat
syndrome with redness, swelling and pain of the eyes, headache, toothache,
nebula formation, etc.
Pharmacological
Action
Bacteriostatic.
Administration Decoction: 6-9g.
